Celebrate Our Independence This 4th of July

This year enjoy the true meaning of the 4th of July. It is known as Independence Day when we adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It was the birth of our Nation and American Freedom. Typically we celebrate the day with fireworks, parades, concerts, family gatherings and barbecues, displaying the American Flag and singing our National Anthem. This was always a joyous holiday to celebrate our Freedom but some folks want to make it about a person or an event. Don’t lose track of how great that our Nation is and the Freedom that we have in our country. May God Bless The USA!

Enjoy the day but look around at others that may not be able to enjoy it due to personal reasons. This is the first 4th of July without my Mom and she always loved the Lions Club Parade. She either rode in the convertible that I drove the Duncanville Man & Woman of the Year in or just to take her to watch the parade. Look around you and see who you can share this great American holiday with.
