Happy Father’s Day
Father’s Day this year will be even more special to me as my Mom will be spending this Father’s Day in Heaven together with my dad once again. I was blessed to have a wonderful Dad. He taught me the right things to do in life. His life was the role model that me and my brothers were given to pattern our lives. “The greatest mark of a man is how he treats his children when no one is looking.” Make this Father’s day special by telling him that you love him.
Some say Mother’s Day is more important to them than Father’s Day. While it’s true that men pass on earlier in life than women and some say this is the reason because they are in our past. While in my past, my Dad was never forgotten. Men tend to be the bread winners and disciplinarians while the women are the more nurturing and caregiving figures in our life. I have spoken before about the things in our past and in our future. But today is called the “present” and on Sunday, take the time to be with your Dad or at least call him. Even if things aren’t the best between you, it doesn’t hurt to make the call and just say “I love you.” Trust me, you’ll be glad that you did.
