Chamber Weekly Update – July 31, 2020

“Keeping Dollars in Duncanville”

There have been so many changes in things since the start of Covid-19. We have seen decisions being made and then changed during the Coronavirus outbreak.

But, the one thing that has been constant and has never changed is the fact that our local businesses and restaurants still need your support to survive.

I urge you to continue to support our local businesses and restaurants when possible. Amazon and other on-line ordering does not put tax dollars in Duncanville!

I encourage you to “Shop Local.” Do what makes YOU comfortable and to feel safe and just be cautious and smart. If you go out, be sure to wear your mask (it’s required), wash your hands often, use hand sanitizers and common sense. (Remember that masks are required in all of Dallas County businesses and restaurants.)

And as always Be Kind and Respect everyone’s choice and Stay Safe. “We are in the same waters but not the same boat.”

We have many people to say “Thank You” to for supporting our 23rd Annual Golf Classic.

First we need to thank God for the beautiful cool (91* and Dry) weather and for the great rain on Tuesday.

Next we can’t say “Thank You” enough to Methodist Charlton Medical Center for being our Title Sponsor again this year.

Special thanks to all of our major sponsors, our hole sponsors, our golfers and our volunteers as well for a fantastic tournament. With everyone’s help and support we were able to exceed our budget and finally complete an event for 2020.

I personally want to say Thank You to everybody and I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Steve
